Day to Day Program

Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Musanze. Travel time +2.3hrs

Upon arrival at Kigali international airport and passing through the immigration process, you will be welcomed by our safari driver who will, brief you shortly and head for a Kigali city tour and visit the Kigali genocide memorial ground, and have lunch before being transferred to Musanze near Volcanoes National Park where you will your dinner and overnight stay at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (Mid-range). Meals: FB

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the Gorilla  briefing from the park headquarters and thereafter, you will be briefed before you enter the jungle with your packed lunch to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour watching their social life as you take pictures. The Gorilla tracking Experience takes half or whole day depending on the movements of these primates. After this you will return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, spend the afternoon with cultural experience at Iby Iwacu cultural center. Dinner and overnight stay at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (Mid-range). Meals: FB

Day 3: Golden Monkey trekking and Transfer to Nyungwe

After having your morning breakfast, you will head for golden monkey trekking, which is almost same as gorilla trekking procedure but less hectic. Afternoon, visit Ellen DeGeneres campus. Dinner and overnight stay at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (Mid-range). Meals: FB

Day 4: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

Have breakfast, meet your guide and drive off to Nyungwe where you will drive to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Top View Lodge. Meals: FB

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking & canopy

Today, after your early morning cap of African coffee, be transferred to the park for briefing and Chimpanzee trekking . You will be entitled to one hour on finding the chimpanzees. After doing the chimpanzee trek, head for lunch before heading for a canopy walk. This 70 meters suspended metallic bridge will give you a great overview of Nyungwe forest and later return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay lodge at Nyungwe Top View Lodge (Mid  range) Meals: FB

Day 6: Departure

Have a relaxed morning breakfast, and drive off to Kigali, with an en route visit to King Palace and Ethnographic museums before transfer to Kigali, and if time allows, head for more Kigali city tour by visiting the local market and art shops, before you will be transferred to the airport to catch up with your evening flight.
